The Exploration Of James’s Pragmatic Truth View

In western philosophy,the issue of truth is a very important issue.In the face of this truth question,philosophers of various genres have proposed many different views of truth.Among them,there are three kinds of truth views that are the most important and the most influential.They are the view of truth of empiricism and the theory of rationalism,and the view of truth of pragmatism.Any kind of truth view is based on a certain world view.The differences between different views of truth are determined by different world views.In the end,the question of truth is based on its foundation.Exploring and examining the basis truth is especially important when clarifying the issue of truth.James’ s Pragmatism had absorbed Peirce’s theory of meaning.James’ s view of pragmatic truth is inextricably linked to it.Radical empiricism and Peirce’s theory of meaning are the theoretical basis of James’ s view of truth.There is no truth about James’ pragmatism without Radical empiricism and Peirce’s theory of meaning.To be more specific,the role of the two is reflected in Radical empiricism as the ontological basis of James’ s pragmatic view of truth,and Peirce’s theory of meaning as the methodology of James’ s pragmatic view of truth.The writing of this article is to explore how James’ s pragmatic view of truth is produced,on what kind of ontology and on what methodological norms are followed.The main task of this paper is to reconstruct James’ s view of truth in accordance with the pragmatic principle,on the premise of highlighting Radical empiricism as its foundation.Finally,I revealed that truth is an effective form of experience organization,and truth is useful.Based on the above ideas,in order to clarify the truth and the construction logic of James’ s view of truth,this paper is divided into three chapters: Chapter 1,Explaining the relationship between pragmatism and James’ s pragmatic view of truth.Our concept of practical effect is our with regard to all the ideas of this object,James absorbed the principle of pragmatism into many fields and formed the concept of truth that "truth is useful".The second chapter discusses how James replaced the traditional dual world view with Radical empiricism.The world of "pure experience" is self-sufficient."Relationship" is also a part of pure experience.Not "duality" constitutes the basis of experience,but "pure experience" is the premise of "duality",but this "duality" only has functional meaning.The third chapter explains that the relationship between Radical empiricism and James’ s view of truth is developed on the basis of Radical empiricism.It is actually a humanized reality.Reality is “pure experience”.It is constantly becoming to "reality".ReaIity includes the flow of human feelings,the relationship of the feelings and feelings’ ideas in the human heart,the truth that have existed in the past,and the corresponding the concept of pragmatic conformity and the truth had the meaning.At the same time,like other theories,There are rationalities and shortcomings in the truth view.James explores a new way of thinking for the truth,but his theory about the truth also has one-sidedness and contradiction.
