Research On The Copyright Exploitation Of Online Literature In China

"Online literature copyright,has become a hot word in recent years.The copyright becomes the core competence of excessive entertainment.On the same time,online literatures are in a shambles during their copyright exploitation process.Those who hold copyrights could over-ask the price willingly;while those who don't such as TV and film making companies,amination companies and videogame companies compete with each other for the copyrights.In just shortly years,the price of an online literature has turmed to be a hundred times expensive than its original value.And the price of authorized revisions has reached a record high.Copyright is a decisive factor in the press industry.Those companies who hold the copyright make great profit;while on the other hand,those who donH would ruin their investments or even be irrvolved in lawsuits.How to exploit the copyright of online literatures has become an urgent issue for the press industry.This thesis,which is dedicated to solve the problems mentioned previously,is trying to find out a path for the eopyright exploitation of online literature.By using the method of literature analysis and case analysis,the author firstly reviews the development and the types as well as the characteristics of online literature,while the status quo of the copyright exploitation of online literature for the screen,cartoon or games is also included.Then based on the study mentioned before,the author takes the Journey of Flower,a piece of online literature,as a sample to summarize the success and dilemma in its copyright exploitation,aiming to discover the ways for the copyright exploitation of online literature in publishing.Finally,the copyright exploitation of online literature can be summarized into four steps:online literature copyright's review and screening,copyright incubation and integration,copyright exploitation and advertising,copyright protection and management.In the meantime,this thesis is going to provide specific and feasible suggestions for issues that are generated during the copyright exploitation of online literatures.This thesis consists five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction.It mainly introduces the background,contents,purposes and methodology.It also points out the innovations and limitations of this study through reviewing the study status quo of China and abroad;defining relating concepts and sorting out corresponding theories.The second chapter states the statues quo of online literatures,including the history of online literature development,types,main features;and the status quo of copyright exploitation of online literature.The third chapter takes the Journey of Flower as the sample to study its copyright exploitation,introducing the copyright exploited in multi chains,analyzing the reasons why it is popular,summing up the successful experience of its copyright exploration,and listing the disputes emerged during the process of its copyright exploitation.The fourth chapter concludes the difficulties that appear during the copyright exploitation of online literatures.Those difficulties include:online literature self-issues;and the difficulties that are generated in the process of exploitation,e.g.:unsounded structural development of agents,the shortage of copyright specialists,low-cost of infringement of copyright and high-cost of copyright protection,and so on.The fifth chapter provides strategies and suggestions toward the difficulties accurse during copyright exploitation of online literature.Firstly,build the brand and set up“three systems,:the system of copyright agency,the system of copyright collective management and the system of copyright brokers.Then form the copyright databases and the public service platform of online literature.Finally,protect and manage the copyright of onine literature from the perspective of technology,administration and law.Comparing with other articles,the contribution of this thesis lies in the case used for analysis is new.Taking the Journey of Flower,a single online literature,as the sample as the breakthrough point,this thesis may be the first attempt in dissertation writing.
