On the basis of combing domestic and foreign issues concerning food consumption,this study attempts to start with the perspective of "Cultural-Tool Kit" to compare and analyze the different cultural and consumer behaviors of consumers in Wuhan and Jilin.The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the role of culture in the construction of food consumption.As the basic needs of human survival,food consumption is the most common and widespread consuming behavior.It is both a carrier of economic practice and a microcosm of social and cultural construction.Through the micro-analysis perspective of the "Cultural-Tool Kit" and Max Weber's view of value-concept,this article selects Wuhan and Jilin as the typical example place of origin and non-origin of the consumption of crayfish in order to analyze the emotions,memories,rituals and strategies of consumers in the two places.The study shows that under the role of the Culture of Ye-Xiao,consumers in Wuhan have continuous,long-term and stable characteristics on crayfish consumption.But under the influence of fashion,consumers in Jilin form intermittent,short-term and instability characteristics.Under the guidance of two different strategies of culture,the two places consumers finally formed different behavior characteristics.In practical application,culture acts in the form of strategies on food consumption,which through the sharing of values to integrate discrete cultural tools such as emotions and stories to form a unique style of selecting and organizing culture tools.The integrated role of cultural tools and action strategies constructs food consumption behavior.On the issue of food consumption,diet cultures in different regions will also affect consuming behavior,which is under the interaction between environment and food consumption.The role and existence of food culture is also a reflection of the cultural influence mechanism.Consuming behavior is the individual microcosmic expression in the market,which is only part of economic life.The influence of culture on food consumption is actually an illustration of the role of culture in economic life.There are multiple links between the two fields of culture and economy.Economic behavior should have to be placed in social life to be completely understood.Economic actions always take place in society,and individual economic actions are the product of cultural tools and strategies.
