Study On Essays Of Zhang Han

Zhang Han,a literati from Shiping in the Qing China,was the first Hanlin Academician with special authorization in History of Yunnan,going through the reign of Kangxi Yongzheng and Qianlong.He was ever qualified to Hanlin Academy twice,sequentially employed as Hanlin supervisor,Henan prefect and supervisory censor of Shandong.With good personality,honesty and uprightness,he was always brave to tell the truth and criticism directly.Besides,Zhang Han have the intelligence in the field of poem and essay etc due to his amounts of creation.His literatures about moral integrity were highly praised by the world,but the study on his works was less due to the regional factors and other reasons.This text will investigate Zhang's life stories,literatures,political career etc and explore the main content,characters,thought,status and the value of his essays,through collecting the relevant local records,document record and referring to prior relevant materials of research meanwhile combing his survival works.Afterwards we could summarize the achievement of his essays and discuss his status in the literature history of Yunnan to further study on Zhang Han himself and the articles.The essays created by Zhang are fully rich in content,with various styles,true feelings and rich imagination,therefore showing his profound knowledge and good writing skills.Due to that Zhang's ideas for essay creation Inherit the ancient Chinese tradition since Mid-Tang Dynasty to pursue the spirit of "moral expressed in words",Zhang's works have the significant status and values in the literature history of Yunnan and even Qing China.This text will give the analysis and discussion to Zhang Han from the following aspects: In the introduction part we mainly summarize the current situation about the study on Zhang Han,including the analysis of the achievement and disadvantages already achieved.In the first part of this article,we investigate Zhang's life stories and literatures based on referring to amounts of local records and historical document.In the second part,we represent the content and style of Zhang's survival 185 essays classified.Firstly we classify them by style and then explain the major content of each category.Secondly the essays' content will be summarized and analyzed together withhis works.Finally we will summarize and pursue the main features of Zhang's essays.In the third part,we will analyze and state the characters created by Zhang Han from the perspective of creation,combining with all his works.In the fourth part,we will explore Zhang's ideological tendency,literary concept and historical origin.Firstly his concept for literary creation could be abstracted from the article Comments.Secondly we could see his ideas for essays' creation from the content and characters of Zhang's essays.The third is that we will discuss Zhang's view of life combing with his political career and the essays he created.In the fifth part of this text,the values,status,artistic achievement and the impact of Zhang's essays will be analyzed and discussed accordingly.The final part is appendix in which a clear and simple chronological list of Zhang Han's life stories and his prose creation activities is obtained.
