The fish pattern plays an important role as a decoration in the history of Chinese arts and crafts.It has shown unique artistic beauty in the inheritance and development through time.This paper attempts to do systematic exploration and brief discussion from the origin and evolution of fish pattern in the ceramics decoration.Taking the traditional patterns meant for good luck as a key,it is compared and analyzed the application of fish pattern in the traditional and modern ceramics,also it is concluded the inner culture and emotion of fish pattern.Combining with the modern ceramic decoration skill,it is tried to do creations in both traditional and modern style.
