The Compulsory English Curriculum Standards(201 1)proposes the primary task of the English course in the basic education stage:"Inspire and cultivate students'interest in learning English,so that students can establish self-confidence,develop good study habits and form effective learning strategies,and develop self-determination.The ability to learn and the spirit of cooperation." The Professional Standards for Primary School Teachers(Trial)also clearly states that teachers should guide primary school students to learn.In December 2017,the formal presentation of the core literacy of English subjects directly pointed out that"the English curriculum aims to develop students' ability to develop independently and communicate and cooperate?" Thus,from the perspective of national policy,the new curriculum emphasizes The cultivation of students' self-learning ability.As an important part of cultivating students' comprehensive language use ability,English self-learning ability has been widely concerned by Chinese scholars.The current educational thoughts and traditional Chinese "cramming" education model have also made primary school students dependent on teachers.Habits,so that some primary school students do not have the awareness of self-directed learning or the ability to learn independently.At the same time,many teachers lack understanding of the significance of self-directed learning.Some teachers even have doubts about students'ability to learn independently,and teachers' teaching concepts have not changed enough.The test-oriented teaching methods that still use mechanical training and the evaluation methods led by test scores have a serious impact.The development of primary school students' independent learning ability.Based on the theory of operationism and information processing,this study selected 160 sixth-grade students from eight rural primary schools in Changling County,Songyuan City,and used literature,questionnaires,interviews,and classroom observations.Research methods have been carried out on the following three aspects:(1)research on the status quo of English autonomous learning of sixth grade students in rural primary schools;(2)research on the influencing factors of English autonomy in sixth grade primary school students;(3)rural areas Research on the training measures of English self-study in sixth grade primary school students.The research conclusions are as follows:1.The overall level of English autonomous learning ability of sixth grade students in rural primary schools is generally;2.The level of ability of the sixth-grade elementary school students in English learning is generally established;3.The level of English learning plan development ability of the sixth grade students in rural primary schools is relatively low;4.The sixth-grade primary school students in rural primary school have a low level of English learning process management ability;5.The level of English learning strategies of sixth-grade students in rural primary schools is low;6.The level of English learning effectiveness assessment of rural sixth sraders is low;7.Rural primary school students' own weak English foundation and weak self-consciousness hinder the development of independent learning ability;8.The way of success or failure of rural primary school students and the excessive dependence on teachers restrict the development of their learning process management ability;9.The subjective assumptions and excessive guidance of rural teachers have seriously hindered the development of students' ability to establish learning objectives;10.The backward teaching methods and educational concepts of rural teachers restrict the development of students' ability to formulate learning plans;11.The family economic environment and the educational level of parents influence the development of rural primary school students' learning strategies;12.The lack of school language environment restricts the development of rural primary school students' learning ability evaluation ability.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper mainly proposes the following suggestions:First,for teachers,the first is to cultivate students' habits of pre-study and after-school review,and encourage students to independently determine English learning goals at different stages.Second:strengthen learning Guide the strategy to help students develop learning plans,strengthen their English learning goals,and clarify their own learning tasks.Third,strengthen the learning process management of students through the establishment of "English Learning Information Feedback Form”and ''English Learning Portfolio";Fourth:Guide students to choose and apply their own learning strategies,adjust them according to their personality characteristics,and provide clear guidance on the use of learning strategies.Fifth:guide students to learn how to evaluate learning effects to develop independent learning ability and guide students to convert from passive learning.For active learning.Secondly,for parents,first:parents should change traditional ideas and guide children to establish their own English learning goals.Secondly,communicate with children to understand the importance of developing English learning plans and assist them.They develop an English learning plan that suits them.Thirdly,they should guide their children to carry out effective pre-study and post-class review and consolidation.Fourth,supervise and pay attention to the completion of children's learning tasks.Fifth:evaluate children should use "descriptive praise.It is recommended to try criticism."...
