Motivation is the main factor affecting language learning in foreign language learning.Establishing the motivation of foreign language learning can improve students' interest and enthusiasm in foreign language learning.In practical foreign language teaching,it is found that students' motivation level is not high.Therefore,this study is devoted to investigating and studying the level and influencing factors of English learning motivation level in rural primary schools,and in an attempt to help students improve their English learning motivation.This study selected the Jiangxi Fengcheng town S primary school Y as a case,5in the primary school students and English teachers as the research object,by adopting the combination of quantitative research and qualitative research methods,through the questionnaire and semi-structured interview to explore the current situation of rural primary school students English learning motivation level and influencing factors,and analysed on multiple levels.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: The motivation level of rural primary school students to learn English is generally low;The average value of the seven factors affecting the level of English learning motivation of rural primary school students shows that the score of learners themselves is the lowest,followed by that of parents.The correlation analysis of learning motivation level and influencing factors shows that language characteristics,learners and parents are significantly positively correlated with learning motivation level.The regression analysis of learning motivation level and its influencing factors shows that the regression equation is: English learning motivation level =1.113* language characteristics+0.376* learner level +8.008.From the results of this study,it can be seen that learners' own factors are the most important factor causing the low English learning motivation of rural primary school students,followed by English language characteristics,followed by parents.School environment,teachers,peers and curriculum have relatively weak influence on students' English learning motivation.According to the results,this study suggests: first,enhance the sense of self-efficacy,improve students' self-confidence;Secondly,introduce English culture and understand the value of English.Third,play the role of parents,promote thegrowth of students.
