With the development of education informatization,great changes have taken place in traditional teaching and learning,as well as in listening teaching in junior high school.In this context,the application of web-based teaching platform in English teaching has been widely concerned.However,many problems gradually arise in traditional listening teaching methods in junior high school,such as,single teaching mode,little teacher-student interaction,insufficient listening practice,and low participation in classroom activities.Therefore,in order to solve the problems existing in the above traditional teaching and improve students'interest and achievements in English listening learning,the author mainly conducted the research.Based on the above research background,this paper mainly includes the following aspects in turn:Firstly,by sorting out domestic and foreign literature about English listening teaching,the application of web-based teaching platform in English listening teaching,the action research on the listening teaching,the author can know about the research status of English listening teaching under the information environment to propose the specific research methods and ideas.Secondly,the author takes the theory of blended learning and autonomous learning theory as the guidance,draws on the relative teaching theory and practices to conduct the action research.Thirdly,the author puts forward two research questions:1)Can the application of web-based teaching platform A~+Classroom in English listening teaching enhance students'listening learning interest?2)Can the application of web-based teaching platform A~+Classroom in English listening teaching improve students'English listening achievements?In response to these two questions,the author has used the action research method to continuously modify and improve the teaching design.Students'interest in English listening learning is understood through the questionnaire survey.Besides,the author also analyzes the teaching objectives and teaching content to conduct the action research.Every round of action research includes plan,action,observation and reflection.In this research method,the teaching plan is spirally adjusted and improved.Lastly,according to the comparison of students'listening scores in pre-test and post-test,and in combination with questionnaires,interviews and other methods,the effectiveness of the application of A~+Classroom in English listening teaching in junior high school is verified.The research results show that:1.The application of A~+Classroom in English listening teaching in junior high school can improve students'interest in English listening learning.2.The application of A~+Classroom in English listening teaching in junior high school can enhance students'listening achievement.In a word,this study provides effective guidance and practical significance for junior high school English listening teaching and also provides a new perspective for the study of English listening teaching.At the same time,this study also has some limitations,such as imperfect experimental tools and short experimental period.The follow-up research can expand the scope of the subjects,extend the experimental period,and more objectively study the application of A~+classroom in English listening teaching in junior high school.
