A Study On The Acquisition And Errors Of "shi...de" Sentences By Korean Students

There are many studies on "shi...de" sentence from the perspective of Chinese noumenon in linguistics,but in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language,research on "shi...de" sentence still need to be enriched.As far as the corpus is concerned,in using the sentence pattern of "shi...de",913 errors are made by Korean students,accounting for 35% of overall errors--more than one third of the total.Therefore,it is necessary to study the acquisition and errors of "shi...de" sentences with Korean students as the main body.On the basis of previous studies,this sentence pattern is divided into sentence pattern(1)and sentence pattern(2).Error analysis is made on the basis of relevant corpus collected by HSK Dynamic Corpus of Beijing Language University and Jinan University Interlanguage Corpus.Four types of errors are found: omission,misorder,misrepresentation and incorrect addition.According to statistics,there are two kinds of serious errors among Korean students: the omission of "de" and the omission of "shi".In order to further grasp the actual acquisition of the sentence "shi...de" about Korean students,this paper chooses Korean students from Bohai University and from its Korean branch as the subjects of investigation.A sample test is designed according to the teaching practice of Bohai University as well as the analyzed error categories;then,the investigation moves on by extracting 15 Korean students with intermediate Chinese level and 15 Korean students with advanced Chinese level.The result shows that problems of intermediate level are mainly word order errors and adverbial postposition,while the problems of advanced level are unclear identification of semantic focus.Several reasons could cause the errors,involving negative transfer of mother tongue,overgeneralization of target language knowledge,negative effects of communicative strategies,lack of teachers' instruction,inadequate compilation of textbooks and the impact of language environment.Finally,facing both the learning and teaching process of "shi...de" sentence for Korean student,relevant teaching suggestions are put forward based on analyzed errors and causes.
