The frequency of occurrence of comparative sentence is high in two series of Chinese textbooks including Developing Chinese and HSK standard course,especially higher in elementary and intermediate books.The content of comparative sentence is covered by new words,language points,texts and exercises.Although there are a few comparative sentences in advanced books such as oral textbooks and comprehensive textbooks,the frequency is low.The international students have grammatical errors in different kinds of comparative sentence.The proportion of occurrence which is from high to low is yiyang>shide>yiban.The proportion of different types of grammatical errors which is from high to low is overrepresentation>disordering>omission>addition.The main reasons for errors of international students cover many external factors like interlingual errors,overgeneralization of target language,using avoidance strategy,studying environment,textbooks selection and teaching etc..Based this case,it is necessary to strengthen explanation of comparative particle,structure of comparative sentences,and semantic type during teaching process,especially selective analysis and imparting syntactic structure and grammatical collocation of comparative sentence.Pay attention to error phenomenon of comparative sentences and solve the error problems in time,and especially emphasize using communicative teaching methods in teaching process like total physical response,situational approach and task-based teaching method,and design different level exercises in class.In addition,teachers should enhance the sensitivity and analytical skills about studying errors of comparative sentence of international students and be good at finding errors.Teachers should analyze,correct and summarize immediately to avoid making errors again as far as possible,which can increase Chinese studying efficiency.
