With the development of Chinese international education and the need of intercultural communication,the importance of cultural teaching has become increasingly prominent.In international Chinese education in the Philippines,both the number of teachers and students are increasing,and the scale of Chinese teaching is expanding.Culture teaching is not only a simple form of culture teaching,but also can be presented through the teaching of words.However,the teaching of cultural meaning of words has not received real attention.The main reasons for this kind of problem are: the teaching level of Chinese teacher volunteers is uneven;the teaching methods used are inappropriate,and can not guide students from a proper perspective;the local Chinese teachers have limited Chinese proficiency;The proportion of choice is unreasonable;students have different levels of understanding and acceptance of different cultural differences.There are many Chinese cultural words in the Intermediate Chinese Textbook of "Success Road" studied by Filipino students.The phonetic form and cultural connotation are similar to those of the Filipino native culture.The reasons for the differences between Chinese and Philippine cultural words mainly include the different historical developments,social folk customs and religious origins of China and the Philippines.In order to solve the problems in the teaching of Philippine cultural words,we must adopt the following teaching strategies:Chinese teachers should understand the local culture and other aspects in advance,and consciously guide the teaching of local Chinese teachers.Enhance their cultural teaching awareness and teaching skills;pay attention to the cultural differences in teaching,guide students to understand the cultural meaning behind the words,in order to avoid the cultural conflicts under the premise of achieving twice the result with half the effort.
