A Study On Relationship Among Sensation Seeking,Positive Psychological Capital And Internet Addiction

Aims: This article aims to understand junior high school students' internet addiction status,Sensation seeking level and Positive Psychological Capital level,and understand the differences in the demographic variables;explore the relationship among Sensation Seeking,Positive Psychological capital and Internet Addiction of middle school students.Method: According to the subject's grade and gender characteristics,the writer adopted an easy sampling method to conduct a questionnaire survey in two public schools in Longgang District,Shenzhen,getting 1475 validquestionnaire,Using SPSS21.0 to analyze questionnaire.Results:(1)Middle school students 'level of Sensation Seeking,Positive Psychological Capital,and the number of Internet addiction and the network depends are in a normal range;(2)Middle school students' level of Sensation Seeking are different in grade factors,but there is no significant difference in gender,only child or single parent factors;(3)Middle school students' level of Positive Psychological Capital in gender,grade factors are significantly different,but the single parent or the only child factor is not significantly different;(4)Internet Addiction of Middle school students have significant differences in the grade,and in single-parent factors,but the differences in gender,the only childare not significant;(5)There is a significant positive correlation between Sensation Seeking and Internet Addiction and the sub-dimension: compulsive internet access,withdrawal response,tolerance and time management problem;Sensation Seeking and interpersonal health problems are positively correlated,but not significantly;DIS is significantly positively correlated with internet addiction and each dimension;TAS is negatively correlated with Internet Addiction and each dimension,but the correlation is not significant;Sensation Seeking Can positively predict Internet Addiction;(6)Positive Psychological Capital and sub-dimensions significantly negatively correlate with internet addiction and its sub-dimensions;Positive Psychological Capital can negatively predict Internet Addiction;(7)There is a significant positive correlation between Sensation Seeking and Positive Psychological Capital and its dimension:self-efficacy,hope and optimism;Sensation Seeking has negative correlation with resilience dimension,but the relationship is not significant;(8)Positive Psychological Capital,Self-Efficacy,Hope,Optimism has suppressing effects between Sensation Seeking and Internet Addiction;the suppressing effects ratio is 32.41%,40.77%,14.52%,26.24%respectively;Positive Psychological Capital,Toughness,Hope,Optimism has a mediation effect between DIS and Internet Addiction;Mediation effect ratios is 17,93%,22.82%,14.26%,10.54%,respectively,mediation effects explained rates is 33.02%,29.33%,27.93%,20.49% respectively.Conclusion:(1)the number of Internet addiction and the network depends are in a normal range;(2)Middle school students' level of Sensation Seeking are different in grade factors;(3)Middle school students' level of Positive Psychological Capital in gender,grade factors are significantly different;(4)Internet Addiction of Middle school students have significant differences in the grade,and in single-parent factors;(5)The Sensation Seeking has a significant positive correlation with Internet Addiction;the Sensation Seeking can positively predict internet addiction;(6)Positive Psychological Capital is significantly negatively correlated with Internet Addiction;Positive Psychological Capital can negatively predict Internet Addiction;(7)Sensation Seeking is positive Correlation with Positive Psychological Capital;(8)Positive Psychological Capital,Self-Efficacy,Hope,Optimism has suppressing effects between Sensation Seeking and Internet Addiction;Positive Psychological Capital,Toughness,Hope,Optimism has a mediation effect between DIS and Internet Addiction.
