Research On Zhu Qianzhi's Aesthetic Thoughts

Zhu Qianzhi is an "encyclopedia-style" theorist and a famous cultural historian in modern China.His research covers a wide range of fields,including history,philosophy,sociology,culture,literature,music,drama,archaeology,politics,and cultural relations between China and foreign countries,Many of which provide a forward-looking vision in the history of modern China.This thesis takes Zhu Qianzhi's "Aesthetic Thoughts" as the core object of research,and systematically combs,summarizes and analyzes Zhu Qianzhi's aesthetic thoughts from four levels,and then comprehensively demonstrates the unique contribution and theoretical value of Zhu Qian's aesthetic thought.The first chapter firstly introduces Zhu Qianzhi's personal life and the development of his academic career.The second chapter mainly analyzes the process of Zhu Qianzhi's aesthetic thoughts from germination to maturity and their theoretical origins,including Chinese traditional thoughts such as Confucianism,Taoist,Buddhist accepted in the early period,and Driesch,Hegel,and Comte in Western countries,who played an important role in the formation of Zhu Qianzhi,s aesthetic thoughts.At the same time,this chapter shows Zhu Qianzhi,s cultural reconciliation among Confucianism,Taoism,Anarchism and Sun Yat-sen's Datong Communism.The third chapter comprehensively analyzes the core categories of Zhu Qianzhi's aesthetic thoughts(Wu Yuan consciousness,emotionalism,aesthetic education,music literature)in order to show the specific structure of the theoretical system(formed by the relationship of the categories).The fourth chapter focuses on the unique contribution of Zhu Qianzhi's aesthetic thoughts and their value for the development of aesthetics in modern China.Besides,the shortcomings of his thoughts are analyzed at this part.The conclusion summarizes the idea of the thesis and the theoretical points of Zhu Qianzhi's aesthetic thoughts,as well as the unique value and inspiration of his thoughts for aesthetics in moden China.Zhu Qianzhi's aesthetic thoughts are a kind of resistance,correction and reconciliation of the scientism that has been popular and continuous since the May Fourth Movement.It is not only irreplaceable and pioneering,but also have far-reaching inspiration for the modernization of science and humanity.Zhu Qianzhi combined Western thoughts with traditional Chinese thoughts,and deeply questioned many aspects such as truth,humanity,culture,etc.Although his thoughts still have many shortcomings,and even are suspected of falling into the stylized idealism,there are still significance and inspiration for constructing modern Chinese aesthetics and the construction and development of culture in modern China.
