Investigation And Research On Yuhuang Temple In Fucheng,Shanxi Province

Folk beliefs in China have formed a variety of folk beliefs in the process of formation and development over a long period of time,with the characteristics of early formation and far-reaching impact.The belief of the Jade Emperor is an important part of our folk beliefs.Since the formation of the belief of the Jade Emperor,it has spread and developed rapidly.A large number of Jade Emperor buildings have been built in various places,and Shanxi,as a preservation of a large number of ancient buildings,has left behind a large number of Jade Emperor buildings,among which Jincheng area is one of the best.In the ancient Zezhou area,the Jade Emperor's buildings were densely distributed,and the Jade Emperor's Temple in Fucheng was one of the representatives.This paper takes Fucheng Yuhuang Temple as the research object,starting from its historical evolution and existing cultural relics,tries to outline the historical context of Fucheng Yuhuang Temple,in order to explore the interaction between Fucheng Yuhuang Temple and Zezhou area in its development process.Firstly,from the analysis of the formation and spread of Yuhuang belief,and the history of Yuhuang Temple in Fucheng,which was built and flourished in the Song Dynasty,to the gradual decline in the late Qing Dynasty,this paves the way for the analysis of the cultural connotation of Yuhuang Temple in Fucheng.Secondly,from the perspective of cultural relics,through the introduction and analysis of the stele inscriptions and painted sculptures left over from different generations,to analyze the historical value behind these exquisite cultural relics.Thirdly,the interaction between Yuhuang Temple in Fucheng and local society is analyzed to analyze the historical and social value behind such a religious building as Yuhuang Temple in Fucheng.
