The Construction Mechanism Of Redundant Negation Structure In Modern Chinese

The phenomenon of redundant negation is a common phenomenon in modern Chinese,and is often used in daily verbal communication.In the past,the discussion on the redundant negation structure mostly focused on the discussion of its structural form or the discussion of its formation.This paper attempts to grasp the redundant negation structure as a whole,and classify it from the perspective of pragmatic function,to analyse the syntactic structure and semantic connotation of typical structures in each type of structure,and the related theories of construction grammar are used to discuss the redundant phenomenon.To discuss the relationship between the redundant constructions,and the meaning of the existence of the residual negative words.Finally,to discuss the vocabulary suppression phenomenon and the construction suppression phenomenon in the construction.This article is divided into six sections.In the first section,from the perspectives of three plane theory and new theory,this paper sorts out the syntactic structure,semantic features,pragmatic features and formation reasons of the redundant negation structure,and summarizes the predecessors' related research of structure.And introduces the research significance,theoretical basis,research methods and source of corpus.The second section is to identify the redundant negation related concepts,and classify them according to the similarity of pragmatic functions,and get 8 categories,25 kinds of redundant negation structures: expressing backtracking,expressing inevitability,expressing exhorting,expressing accusation,expressing little quantity,expressing speculation,expressing degree,and expressing condition.And explain the content selected in this article,namely the top 7 categories of 24 structures.The third section analyzes the syntactic structure characteristics of the typical structure in the redundant negation structure,mainly discussing the subsequent components in the structure.According to the statistics and analysis of the corpus,it concludes that the following components are mostly predicate structures,so thesubsequent components of the structure are mostly written as “VP”,and the subsequent components of the table degree structure are written as “AP”.The fourth section analyzes the semantic connotation of the typical structure in the redundant negation structure.It is analyze in three degrees: the semantic characteristics of the components in the structure,the semantics of the structural center words and the semantic connotation of the overall structure.When discussing the semantic connotation of the structure,it also explains the reasons of the formation of the redundant negation structure.The analysis of the typical structure in the redundant negation structure in the third and fourth sections is the basis for the analysis of its construction.The fifth section is the construction analysis of the redundant negation structure.Starting from the theory of constructive relationship inheritance,it discusses the redundant construction in the family similarity.Starting from the theory of multiple inheritance relations,it discusses the meaning of the existence of the residual negation in the construction,that is,the grammatical characteristics of redundant negation structure inheriting residual negation.Finally,it discusses the vocabulary suppression phenomenon in the "???+VP" and "???+AP" of the redundant negation structure;and the construction suppression phenomenon in "???+VP" and "???+VP".The sixth section concludes the content discussed in this article,and explains the limitations and problems of this paper,and makes comments and suggestions for such research.
