Research On The Creation Design Of Emotional-Experience-Type Characters

Information transmission is the fundamental function of characters.With the advent of the era of screen reading,the information transmission of characters is no longer confined to the use of paper media.Due to the transformations in the technical approaches and people's mindsets,the bar on the characters' utility has once again been raised.In addition to fulfilling the general requirements of information transmission,the design of characters has gradually taken the role of a medium of emotional sustenance,establishing its importance in the field of visual transmission.The development of this study was built upon the concept of “emotional experience”,based on which it displayed the emotional expression of the characters through the character creation design and multi-perspective manifestation,assigning the characters under different “bridge passages” into “roles” with differing forms.The most interesting part of the character creation design is emotional transmission because its richness and freshness not only inject a taste of humaneness but also adding a touch of highlight on the field of character design.Based on the understanding of the relationship between emotion and character design,this paper explored the creative methods of character creation design and the multi-perspective expression of the character,while also combining the author's Using the Rhythm of Characters to Express Various Sentiments – Character Creation Design under the “Modern Disease” Syndrome,to conduct a design research.To begin with,factors affecting the generation of emotion through words and the types of emotional experiences were explored.Through the case analysis of the characters' design,the principles of identification,structure,and formal aesthetics were summarized.Next,the inspiration and ideas of the character creation design were discovered from the creative design methods of the characters,based on which the creation methods of character design were summarized.This knowledge was then combined with the “modern disease” syndrome to subsequently conduct a practical investigation on the creative design of characters,and eventually construct an image of the emotional-experience-type characters.Finally,by employing the design methods of element recombination,scenario application on the structures,as well as repeated and omitted strokes,the characteristics of the “modern disease” syndrome were revealed.Also,in combination with the gradual overlap,the three-dimensional structure,and the multi-view contradictive space,a number of character forms with visual emotional experience and multi-dimensional space were established.On the one hand,the creation design of emotional-experience-type characters has fulfilled the functional requirements of information transmission,and on the other hand,it has also satisfied the mental and spiritual aspirations of the emotional experience of characters,revealing the characters' personalities,as well as providing a theoretical and practical reference for the development of the designs of emotional-experience-type characters.
