As Belarus has increasingly close contact with China,Chinese learners in Belarus have experienced climbing increase on daily basis with the relevant research erupting one after another.However,it is rare to see the research and analysis of Belarusian students' motivation in learning Chinese at the moment.Therefore,the research on this area is of significance for Chinese international education from the theoretical and practical perspectives.Learning motivation has played an important role in Second Language Learning,which has attracted the attention of many linguists.Learning motivation has obvious impact on learning outcomes and grades,especially when learning a language in a non-target language environment.Therefore,learning motivation plays an irreplaceable role through the whole learning process.This research involves 135 Chinese learners of Confucius Institute at Belarussian National University on their Chinese learning motivation with the method of literature and questionnaire.Firstly,it is founded that the motivation of the students consists of four types:tools,learning situation,integration and social atmosphere.The main motivation type is the tool type.Specifically,for the learners surveyed,Chinese as a foreign language is beneficial for them to obtain a good job and go abroad forself-improvement;Secondly,it mainly analyzes the differences of Belarussian students' motivation in Chinese learning on sex,age,study duration,ways to choose class and whether they have ever been to China;Last but not the least,I puts forward some strategies and suggestions to stimulate students' motivation in Chinese learning on the basis of quantitative and qualitative analysis.The thesis consists of five chapters.The first chapter is introduction to the reason of choosing the topic,research significance and purpose,as well as the summary of the research at home and abroad.The second chapter introduces the development of Belarusian Chinese teaching.The third conducts analysis and description on data with the help of SPSS(17.0),which concludes that the tool type is the most important type of motivation,thus verifying the conclusion of questionnaire data.The fourth chapter puts forward teaching strategies from the perspectives of interesting teaching material,conduction of extracurricular activities and the application of the multi-media.The fifth chapter is the conclusion part,which points out the disadvantages of the research...
