A Study Of Lv Si-bai's Art Teaching Thought

Lv Sibai,who was educated by Xu Beihong in his early years,is regarded as the most important successor of Xu Beihong's art since modern times.Before and after the liberation,Lv Sibai once taught in three universities in Nanjing and Lanzhou successively,and served as the department head,which had a great impact on Higher Art Education in China.Based on the review of Lv Sibai's life experience and the summary of his art education thoughts,this paper systematically summarizes his art education thoughts.First of all,through data collection,Lv Sibai's life experience is reviewed in detail,which is divided into three parts:early experience,overseas study and teaching career.The teaching career is further divided into 17 years of national central university,seven years of lanzhou northwest normal university and nine years of nanjing normal university.Secondly,through the analysis of various materials,this paper summarizes Mr.Lv Sibai's educational thoughts,which can be summarized into five parts:"three parts" education,attaching importance to the source of life of art,adhering to the road of realism,the basic spirit of art teachers,attaching importance to the training of basic art skills.Finally,this paper discusses the influence of Lv Sibai's fine arts education thought on tthe current study focused on the influence of his art education thought on Higher Art Education in Western China.LvSibai's educational thought is formed gradually in the long-term teaching practice,including his artistic cognition and value orientation.The greatest achievement of LvSibai lies in his Higher Art Education in Northwest China.During his seven years in Lanzhou,he has made a lot of pioneering work and cultivated generations of artists.All these students have grown into the backbone of art education in Northwest China.The Art Department of Northwest Normal University he left behind has also grown into the most excellent and complete art education base in Northwest China.Born into a poor family,LvSibai received a strict normal education.From the perspective of life experience,LvSibai embodied the image of an intellectual under the traditional scholar culture.In his career,although he always paid attention to maintaining his own opinions and avoiding the vortex of political struggles,LvSibai was in fact always an uncompromising person.In art,he always yearned for romantic expressionism,but influenced by his beloved teacher,he followed the principle of realism.As Xu Beihong's acknowledged disciple,LvSibai had his own persistence in art,which was also reflected in his attitude towards life and art education.He insisted on learning for the sake of learning,never giving in,and tried to purify art from the influence of society and politics.During his teaching and art career,LvSibai always insisted on oi1 painting.However,he creatively introduced calligraphy courses into the art department and paid unprecedented attention to the roles of lines in painting.In general,there are a Iot of contradictions in LvSibai,which is also the common characteristic of intellectuals under the background of the times at that time.
