A Study Of Jaspers' Tragedy Theory

The German philosopher Carl Jaspers,as one of the pioneers of existentialism,expounds the relationship between “existence” and “Transcendence” on the basis of his “philosophy of existence”.Jaspers' tragedy theory takes the discussion of “Critical Situation” as the core,supplemented by the three parts of “tragic knowledge”,“tragedy transcendence” and“tragic interpretation” to establish his own tragic theory system.This system inherits a part of Aristotle's tragedy theories and the existence of Soren Kierkegaard,but it is different from Schopenhauer's theory of pessimism and Nietzsche's “Spirit of Dionysus”,which is quite different from some tragic consciousness in the existentialism of Heidegger.The purpose of this thesis is to start with the notion of “critical situation”in his tragic theory and to establish a clue connecting the “critical situation” with his existential tragedy theory by systematically sorting out Jaspers' philosophy of existence.This paper mainly adopts the method of text research,and tries to be based on the thought logic sequence of Jaspers' “Critical Situation”,which is divided into “The‘Critical Situation' in the living situation”,“ The ‘critical state' of survival tragedy”,and“The dimension of transcendence under ‘critical state '”.The first part mainly introduces the theoretical background and theoretical basis of Jaspers' existential tragedy theory,and compares with Nietzsche's tragic view;The second part takes“Critical Situation” as the main line,and focuses on integrating the basic tragic knowledge and tragic interpretation in Jaspers' Tragedy theory;The third part connects the logical thinking of “Existence-Cipher-Transcendence” in Jaspers' Philosophy of existence,and put its educational theory into it.The article looks forward to studying the theoretical purport of the dimension of “Transcendence” in Jaspers tragedy theory from the multiple angles of philosophy transcendence and aesthetic transcendence,and compares it with the thinking of the existence of Kierkegaard,which is closely relatedto his tragic theory,and probes into the similarities and differences of Heidegger's tragic consciousness.In the modern spiritual state,Jaspers' tragic theory has an important guiding value,which encourages people to make self-choice to bear the existence of the individual and listen to the truth of the dimension of “Transcendence” when they face the critical situation in their living situation.
