From The Perspective Of "Possibility Of Being",Explores The Value And Significance In Contemporary Film Narration

"Possibility of Being" was proposed by Milan Kundera,a famous contemporary novelist.Unlike existentialism,which explores "Being" from the ontological level,Kundera's "possibility of being" is to examine the existing problems from the perspective of human being's reality-based state of existence and existential situation.Milan Kundera's limitation of "possibility of being" is modernity.In Milan Kundera's view,modernity means reevaluate the values of the past,and rational order are replaced by irrationality.Therefore,under the premise of modernity,the “possibility of being” is not only confined to rational order,but also exists in irrationality.Irrationality,as an important part of human self-consciousness,is involved in film narrative,and becomes an important creative way of exploring and expressing the "possibility of being" in contemporary film narrative.In most traditional narratives,the self-consciousness of characters is still governed by the logical causality of the creator's rationality.In contemporary film narratives,the introduction of irrationality breaks the limitations of traditional narratives,enabling the characters to show a more real side of their inward.In fact,the self-consciousness of characters triggered by irrationality is a real release of the repressed unconsciousness.It embodies the existential relationship between man and modern society.Adolescence is a process in which an individual not yet finds his identity and enters the society to confirm his social identity and role.However,unlike the society in which rational order is operated,human beings have an irrational side.In the process of socialization,there will inevitably be some contradictions between individual and society and irrational impulse in the process of young people's integration into society.Therefore,this paper regards the self-consciousness of the characters in the current domestic youth films as the research subject.On the one hand,based on the perspective of contemporary film narratives,this paper studies the self-consciousness of the characters in the current domestic youth films and the “possibility of being”.On the other hand,from the irrational point of view,the authenticity of the characters is deeply considered and explored.With the help of Milan Kundera's "Possibility of being" viewpoint,the whole study focuses on contemporary youth films,and analyses and expounds the dramatic function and value of the role's self-consciousness and its irrational impulse in the overall narrative expression.It is believed that such a research perspective and research results have positive practical significance for Chinese films which are currently in the transition from traditional narrative to modern narrative.
