Research On Narrative Ethics Of Film And Television Works

As an important part of Chinese traditional values,ethics is the behavior standard that people living in a certain society should follow,which widely constrains and guides people's social practice.Since its birth,Chinese film and television have always represented traditional Chinese ethics in the form of images.In the new era,films and television plays a more important role in moral integration and construction.Film and television works tell stories directly with pictures and sounds,mercilessly lash out at emotional loss,moral corruption,spiritual loss and other phenomena in the social transformation,and provide norms or rules for audiences,especially teenagers,so that they can learn common moral concepts,moral norms and moral qualities,thus clear as citizens should follow the social ethics and formed certain moral behavior.In addition,film and television works also have the role of shaping and maintaining mainstream ideology.Through the creation of characters and the development of plots,film and television works can affect the audience's ethical values subtly.Therefore,there is a natural connection between ethics and film and television works.Narrative ethics is a concept in art ethics and a basic measure to measure the value of a work.In the study of film and television works,the concept of "narrative ethics" is applied.From the perspective of ethics,its core is to carry out abstract ethical thinking in the process of plot development,and to export recommended ethical values to people through certain narrative techniques and forms.However,"ethical narration" is not a subject concept.In the practice of film and television adaptation,it is used as a rhetorical device.Ethical narration emphasizes the role and status of ethical factors in the narration of film and television works.In other words,certain ethical values must be expressed in the setting of story plots and characters so that the audience can interpret certain ethical connotations.The novel white deer plain is the representative work of Chen zhongshi,which has been adapted into many art forms such as drama,qinqiang opera,film and TV series.Among them,the 2017 TV series "white deer plain" is a relatively successful adaptation.Compared with other versions,the strengthening of modern marriage and love ethics,family ethics and political ethics in the narration of the TV series white deer plain is one of the important reasons for its success.This strengthening not only conforms to the characteristics of thedissemination of film and television works,but also deepens the ideological connotation of the works.Its success shows that when shooting TV series adapted from literary works,we should fully consider the communication characteristics of film and television works,dilute the irrational factors in novels,highlight the moral,ethical and value system conforming to the spirit of The Times,and enhance the value of mass culture.Film and television plays an important role in moral cultivation,guidance and standardization.Based on the "white" as an example,first of all,from the "ethical narration" of it expatiates,grasp the narrative ethics,the moral goals of film and television works should be put forward new requirements,there are mainly to guide the audience to establish a correct concept of marriage and family,and promote the perfection of moral,take care of women's destiny,create a good atmosphere of whole society to respect women and to maintain national stability and harmony.Secondly,by analyzing the impact on individual moral values,the values of film and television works,induce shall follow the principle of the adaptation of literary works,mainly combining with respect the original and medium,deepen the theme,make spirit more full,to strengthen the aesthetic expression,promoting the value of mass culture and avoid sensitive problem,agree with time spirit.Finally,this paper proposes a reasonable construction of mainstream value of film and television works,so as to provide correct guidance for audience's cognition of the ethics and morality shown in the film and television works.
