Among the numerous intangible cultural heritage categories in China.Temple fair,with its unique cultural and artistic forms,covers folk art,folk beliefs,trade fairs and other cultural events.The core of its cultural value and spiritual emotional connotation in the current commodity economy developed today,the temple fair cultural space is known as a treasure box of art and culture.This paper takes Yiliang county,Kunming city,Yunnan province as the field investigation site,and selects the "Big Incense fair" temple fair of the North Gucheng village,a project of intangible cultural heritage and folk custom at the provincial level,as the research case.Analyze the elements and attributes of the composition of its cultural space,dissect and explore the cultural space of temple fairs from four aspects: time,space,content and form,and participants.The purpose is to find out the interrelation between each folk art element and the overall cultural space and the survival function between them.Temple fair cultural space is the result of all kinds of folk arts.At the same time,folk art is based on the local cultural space.The two forms in the folk performance,craft,ceremony and so on can come down in one line and constitute the organic cultural ecology together.Based on the organic interaction between cultural space and various folk art elements,the protection and development strategy should be implemented with the integrated concept of multi-culture.This paper explores the significance of temple fair inheritance and protection from the perspective of cultural space,and analyzes various essential factors such as folk art forms,folk beliefs and ritual contents in a complete cultural space context,so as to discuss how to better implement feasible protection measures and propose the inheritance road of contemporary temple fair.
