| Language and culture are supplementary to each other.Language and culture are inseparable.Language teaching is inseparable from culture teaching.All these viewpoints have became the consensus in the Chinese language teaching academic community.Although the importance of culture teaching in Chinese language teaching has gradually been noted,as well as the numerous ontological research on Chinese culture teaching,the research on Chinese classroom culture teaching is not very common,and so is the practical study of culture teaching in Chinese language teaching classroom.Therefore,this thesis attempts to compare and analyze the real elementary comprehensive Chinese course,and from which the author summarizes some general teaching rules of cultural teaching.This study used a method of classroom observation.Through the combination of recording and video recording,the teaching situation of four international Chinese teachers in a university in Beijing was observed.A total of 6 classes of classroom teaching were collected,and the traditional manual input method was used to transfer the recordings and videos to texts,and a total of 136,000 words of teacher discourse analysis texts were obtained.By the transferred texts,a comparative analysis of their culture teaching parts is aimed at exploring the following questions:What aspects of the culture teaching of those teachers are mainly involved?What is the difference between the culture teaching methods of teachers with different experience values?What are the advantages and disadvantages of teachers’ culture teaching?How to improve the disadvantages?This paper divides the culture teaching elements in four teachers’ classrooms into cultural factors teaching from the Chinese language,cultural product teaching,cultural concept teaching and cross-culture teaching.Through the classroom observation and video recording of four international Chinese teachers with varied teaching experience in a university in Beijing,guided by the objectives of Chinese language teaching and the related principles and methods of teaching,this paper analyzes the culture teaching of the four teachers in the elementary comprehensive course.We found that the teaching experience has certain influences on the teacher’s culture teaching methods,but the importance attached to culture teaching is mainly related to the individual’s culture teaching consciousness.This paper also proposes corresponding culture teaching hints based on the study of four teachers’ culture teaching,including:fully excavating the cultural meaning of Chinese words;revealing the cultural concepts behind cultural products;teaching cultural values with universal significance;cultivating intercultural communication skills through key events.I hope that the discussion in this paper will help to improve the culture teaching in the comprehensive Chinese course. |
