Among the overseas immigrant literary circles, the North American immigrant writers are the focus of this group, including Yan Geling,Zhang Wei,Chen He,Chen Qian,Su Shi and other writers, and their works and practices have added the splendor to the whole immigrant literature circle. Most of them grew up in China, precipitating Chinese-style cultural genes, and later moved to North America. In the cross-border of space, they experience the different social environment, the conflict of multi-values and the re-construction of self-orientation,which makes their works not only show the unique individual experience and the common era theme, but also take the identity, human nature and other issues into the deep consideration.Nowadays, there are a variety of researches on new immigrant literature in North America, but its attention to the spatial narrative is still weak.Since the "space steering" of western knowledge in the 20 th century, the space narrative theory has provided another way of thinking beyond the time logic for many subjects, including literature. The new immigrant literature of North America naturally has the cross-domain characteristics at the geographical level, the cultural space, the fission of the psychological space and the height of the space theory. Therefore, based on the space-narrative theory, this study discusses the division, feature, and function of the space narrative type in the new immigrant literature of North America, and explores new North America's new style and the multi-values of the literary creation of the immigrants. This study attempts to explore the ideological and artistic characteristics of the new immigrants' literature in North America with the help of the space theory.Combined with the concrete works, this paper focuses on the spatial types and the spatial forms that appear in the texts. It also expounds their rethinking and reconstruction to the immigrant culture and identity. In the introduction part, starting from the basis of the topic selection, the author combs the current research situation of the literature and spatial narrative theory of the new immigrants in North America in detail, and establishes the thinking way and starting point of the research;the second chapter focuses on the spatial narrative types of the literature of new immigrants in North America, and carefully combs the spatial writing patterns in works from three spatial types: geodetic space, cultural space and psychological space;the thirdchapter focuses on the spatial narrative structure of North American new immigrants' literature, specifically examines the expression forms of the spatial structure of text in the writing of new immigrants in North America such as orange-petal,double-line,circle-shaped,Chinese-boxed and so on.The fourth chapter discusses the multiple meanings of spatial narrative of North American new immigrant literature, affirms the transcendence of narrative from the perspective of creation, analyzes the new dimensions of diasporas culture from the angle of theoretical discourse system and looks at the reconstruction of identity in immigrant literature from the perspective of social significance; In conclusion, spatial narrative theory not only provides a new dimension of reading new immigrant literature in North America, but also presents a new pattern of cultural collision and blending more clearly.
