A Probe Into The Relationship Between "Historical Records" And Chu Culture

Historical Records is the first general history of biography in Chinese history.Among them,Chu culture plays a very important role in Historical Records.The appearance of this situation is not only related to the proportion of Chu culture in Han culture in the early Western Han Dynasty,but also to Sima Qian's love and yearning for Chu culture.In this paper,the relationship between Shiji and Chu culture is studied.The relationship between Chu travel and the writing of Shiji,Chu personality and Sima Qian's personality,Chu culture and the style of Shiji are analyzed in detail.The first chapter of this paper starts with Sima Qian's Chu consciousness,analyses the origin of Sima Qian's wandering in Chu,briefly combs the route of his wandering in Chu,and summarizes the influence of Sima Qian's wandering in the north and south of the river on the creation of Historical Records.Sima Qian's travels in Chu not only collected and prepared a lot of materials for the writing of Historical Records,but also promoted the integration and unification of Chu culture and Northern culture.Sima Qian describes himself as a descendant of Zhunxuan,which shares the same origin with Chu.He inherited the tradition of the family historians,traveled all over Chu,enjoyed the mountains and rivers of Chu,visited the famous sites of Chu,inspected the local conditions and customs of Chu,collected a large number of historical stories and historical relics of Chu,directly made up for the missing part of historical records,and enriched the literary color of Historical Records.During his travels to Chu,Sima Qian's in-depth exploration of the characters in Chu also affected his ecological degree to a certain extent.In the second chapter,starting from the characters of Chu in Historical Records and based on the review of Sima Qian,the similarities between the characters of Chu and Sima Qian's personality characteristics are analyzed in detail.Sima Qian's sense of suffering,the spirit of direct admonition,the spirit of initiation,the spirit of factual record,the spirit of criticism and the spirit of people's livelihood all pity the people in Chu.This similarity is not accidental.Sima Qian regards himself as the Chu people,and travels to Chu during his juvenile grand tour.He makes a thorough study of Chu people,Chu wind and Chu culture.From Sima Qian's praise of Chu's humanistic spirit,we can see his recognition and admiration of Chu's characters and Chu's humanistic spirit.Chapter three,starting from the literary characteristics of Shiji,explores the influence of Chu cultural spirit on Sima Qian's creative style.As far as Records of History is concerned,the collection of works of Chu Dynasty is not to increase the length of Records of History,but to express the spirit of Chu culture at a higher level.The legendary belief in witches and gods,the beautiful literary style,the philosophical thoughts of Huang Lao Taoism and the melancholy tone of Chu voice all influence Sima Qian.The formation of the peculiar,romantic,meditative and melancholy features in Historical Records is related to the influence of Chu culture.
