As an important indicator to measure the personal achievement of primary and secondary school students,academic performance has always been concerned by students,parents and the society.Exploring the influencing factors of academic performance is also an important research topic in psychology and pedagogy.The former researches studies have shown that achievement goal orientation is closely related to academic performance,and perseverance has a significant impact on academic performance,but there is no consistent conclusion about the relationship between achievement goal orientation,perseverance and academic performance.This study used questionnaire survey method to explore the relationship between achievement goal orientation,perseverance and academic performance,and collected 629 valid samples from students of grade 4-8 in zhuji city.The research results are as follows:1.The status and development characteristics of grade 4-8 students' achievement goal orientation and grit.(1)Achievement goal orientation includes four dimensions: mastery-approach,achievement-approach,mastery-avoidance and achievement-avoidance.In this study,the achievement goal orientation score of 4-8 grade students from high to low are in order to performance-avoidance goal,performance-approach goal,mastery-avoidance goal and mastery-approach goal.With the growth of the grade,the number of students holding the grade-approach gradually increases,while the proportion of the students holding the master-approach gradually decreases.There is a significant difference in the achievement goal orientation of grade 4-8 students in terms of gender and grade.The mastery-avoidance scores of female students were significantly higher than that of male students;the performance-approach scores,mastery-avoidance scores and performance-avoidance scores of 7 grader are the lowest.(2)Grit includes two dimensions: persistence effort and consistency of interest.In this study,the score of grit,persistence,and interest of 4-8 grade urban students are all at a medium level.And there is a significant difference in the perseverance of students from grade 4 to grade 8.The consistent interest decreases gradually with the increase of grade4-6;the grit scores of 7 grader is the lowest.There was no significant gender difference in the fortitude of students in grades 4-8.2.The relationship among achievement goal orientation,grit and academic achievement of 4-8 grade students.(1)The mastery-approach,performance-approach and grit of 4-8 grade students significantly positively predict academic achievement;the performance-avoidance significantly negatively predicts academic achievement;the mastery-approach significantly positively predicts grit,the mastery-avoidance goal and performance-avoidance goal significantly negatively predict grit.(2)The grit of 4-8 grade students plays a partial mediating role between masteryapproach,performance-avoidance and academic achievement,and plays a complete mediating role between mastery-avoidance and academic achievement.
