Present Fund Raising Situation Research On Crowdfunding In Film Industry

The film industry,being as a new growth point of Chinese cultural industry,plays a key role in many ways,such as promoting economic development,increasing employment,maintaining social stability and innovating technology.With fast development of the Internet,crowdfunding in Chinese film industries is being operated as a brand-new financial creative mode.How to make the best use of this new model and provide a new source of funding for China's film industry has become an important proposition of the times.As the core part of film crowdfunding,platforms play an important role in the development of the film crowdfunding.But at present,China is lack of researches on the platforms of this kind.This paper first traced the congregation of crowdfunding at home and abroad,analyzes its core concept,value logic and success factors of China's film industry to raise public finance,then points out the risk and the existing problems of crowdfunding in Chinese film industry,through case studies,gives some suggestions for the development of it.Compared to the other researches on this field,this research focus on platforms of film crowdfunding.It shows in this paper that the kick starter which mainly adopts lending-based crowdfunding but rewarding-based one as a supplement can develop cinema film programs with average costs above.Meanwhile,two conditions are supposed to be met for its success in crowdfunding.One is to set a target monetary total properly while the other is to design a payback system correctly.For the one making use of rewarding-based crowdfunding mainly but donating-based crowdfunding as a supplement,film programs at low costs or extreme low costs can be supported.Here are three conditions for its success.The first is celebrity effect,the second is the program's innovation and the third is individualized return design.Deep participation in film industry chain is suitable for vertical film kick starters while film crowdfunding can enrich its diversity for the comprehensive kick starters.
