Taboo are common in different language system,and have systematic verbal taboos.It is an important part of the composition of language.It is influenced by factors,such as national politics,culture,historical traditions,national mentality and so on,reflecting the deep cultural mentality of nation.Nepal is located in the southern foothills of the himalayas.Due to geo-environmental constraints,with china’s economy,cultural and other aspects,there is formation of a huge impediment.People in both countries are eager to learn about each other’s cultures,languages,customs,etc.In recent years,due to the strategic influence of the “One Belt,One Road”,Sino-Nepal bilateral economic and trade and cultural exchanges continues to enhance.But because of the difference in language and culture,there are some problems in the communication between the two countries.The significance of strengthening the study of taboos between the two countries is obvious,because the two countries ’ people may communicate with each other in ways that are not appropriate,violate each other’s cultural taboos,cause misunderstanding and estrangement,and affect normal communication.Because of the difference in language and culture between China and Nepal,taboos between the two countries present a huge difference,this difference reflects the deep cultural connotation of the two countries,with great research value.The article uses the theory of linguistics,uses the historical literature law and the field survey and other methods to sort out the taboo words of Chinese and Nepali,reveals the social function and characteristics of the forbidden words,explores the similarities and differences of the forbidden words of the two countries,analyzes the linguistic and cultural factors of their differences.This exploration is helpful to reveal the connotation of the taboo language culture.Taboos are universal,national,temporal and contextual,which are also applicable in Chinese and Nepali taboos.The same words of Chinese and Nepali Taboo also illustrates that the taboo language has the characteristics of universality.The differences in the taboos of Chinese and Nepali are mainly due to the differences in religious concepts and values.The difference of religious concepts on the taboos of chinese and Nepali is quite significant.This shows the great influence of culture.I also hope that this study will help in Nepali taboos study,and avoid unnecessary misunderstandings in the communication between the two people,and promote the effectiveness of the exchange between the two people.
