The Qing Dynasty was the last feudal dynasty in Chinese history,and the last great unified dynasty established by ethnic minorities in Chinese history.After more than 270 years of historical precipitation,the Qing Dynasty left a vast number of precious archives,providing historical experience and reference for the development of contemporary society.As an important part of the Qing Dynasty archives,local archives are the original records directly formed by political,economic,cultural and other activities in grassroots society,reflecting the true situation of local social activities.Local archives research is developing rapidly and vigorously.This paper selects the highly popular local archives—the archives of the southern county in the Qing Dynasty as the research object and takes the archives of the southern county in the Qing Dynasty as the starting point,summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the archives of the southern county in the Qing Dynasty and put forward the prospects for the future arrangement of local archives,and lay the foundation for the creation of local archives.This article is divided into five parts,the first part is an overview of the southern county government archives in the Qing Dynasty from a theoretical perspective;the second and third parts Sorts out the process and content of the early and later period of the archives sorting in the southern county of the Qing Dynasty;the fourth part is a analysis and summary of the characteristics and shortcomings of the southern county government archives in the Qing Dynasty;the fifth part is based on the insufficient arrangement of the archives of the county in the southern part of the Qing Dynasty,reflecting on local archives.
