House's model on Translation Quality Assessment contains relatively complete parameter setting and evaluating procedure,obtaining recognition among the translation academia.In her 2015 version.House maintains the basic structure of the previous model,and makes subtle modifications along the dimension of Field,Tenor and Mode,and indicates the importance role of Corpus Studies for the category of Genre.By comparing the textual profiles of the original text and the target text,a translation quality assessment report is producedThis thesis adopts stratified sampling method and qualitative analysis to assess the translation quality of????????from No Longer at Ease by a Nigerian writer,Chinua Achebe with House's newly revised model released in 2015.It is found that the translator chooses the covert translation method,reproducing the language and culture features from the original text,while giving consideration to the Chinese readers' reading habit.Therefore,the translation work can be regarded as functional equivalent to the original.It is also found that the parameter setting and evaluating procedure of House's model is complex,which makes the process lengthy and time-consuming,especially in the case of analyzing large context,when it comes to works with large content.Besides,it is known that House's model is based on the analysis of English-German translation,the analysis on English-Chinese translation is not sufficient,typically after the 2015 version was published,several Chinese scholars and related-major students focused on Chinese poem and tourism translation,which makes the research less diversified.
