In an age when international communication is constantly increasing, the importance of translation is undeniable. The academic research of TQA has thus won special significance. The purpose of this paper is to introduce Juliane House's model for TQA into the field of CE translation. House's model is complete, scientific, objective and systematic. However, it is a pity that this model was built specially for the translation between English and German languages. We apply this model in CE translation in practice to test its feasibility. We choose "Deng Yingchao's letter to Song Meiling" and "The Gettysburg Address" as examples to test this Model in practice. Based on the practice, further theoretical analysis is made to point out those parts of the model which are proved infeasible. Based on all the analyses and in combination with other translation theories, valuable advice for modification is given. Our practice proves that most part of this model is feasible in CE translation, in spite of a few infeasible parts which can be modified. The significance of introducing this model into the field of CE translation exists not only in the evaluation of translation quality, but also in foreign language teaching. This model should win wide and special attention in our domestic academic research. Domestic scholars should completely realize the value of this model and take its advantage to promote the academic and teaching research.
