Land Art:Mural On The Ground

With the development of the times and the advancement of science and technology,mural gradually break through the shackles of traditional paintings.The artistic and mural languages become more and more diverse,and the exploration and attempt in materials and space are no longer limited to traditional methods.The fields involved in contemporary mural are becoming broader and more and more inclusive.Among them,land art is a special art type in contemporary art,the creative trend of which has irreplaceable characteristics.I have learned from some cases of earth art,and saw the commonalities between it and mural art.I also saw the new possibilities of landscape mural for the creation of contemporary mural art.This paper explores the language and art form of mural from the perspectives of earth art.By exploring the context of the art of the earth and the knowledge of the history,we can understand the art forms in the public space.When the murals we recognized walk out of the wall into the public space,their interactivity and artistic languages change,becoming landscape mural.By studying the landscape murals,I find connections and differences between them and the contemporary mural art,trying to analyze the public expression of the landscape mural in different spatial environments.The characteristics of the contemporary mural art are explored so as to bring new development space to the public nature of contemporary mural art.
