Nanjing Imagination In Ye Zhaoyan’s Novels

As a kind of city expression,City imagination presents a rich and diverse appearance because of its different writers.As a city of profound culture,Nanjing has many excellent works of imagination and praise from ancient times.Taking Ye Zhaoyan’s noval as a research object,and examines the unique literary city constructed on the basis of his rich novel creation.This thesis interprets the Nanjing Imagination of his novel from the aspects of its external narrative object and internal spiritual temperament,as well as the writer’s uniqueness as a "This" writer and his own unique survival experience.To explores the practical significance and existence value of the Nanjing Imagination created by Ye Zhaoyan.It is of great significance to understand the modern transformation and spiritual charm of the traditional Nanjing in the process of China’s modernization,as well as the conflict and integration of traditional culture and modernity experience in the process of urban development.The thesis is divided into three parts: The first part is the content study of Nanjing imagination,including the concrete form and inner spiritual charm of Nanjing imagination.The interpretation of the concrete form of Nanjing’s image is mainly carried out from the aspects of character image,space construction and story telling,which shows his concern about the state of human existence and the development and change of the city.The investigation of the inner spiritual charm of the city involves various presentations in different historical periods,highlighting the unique urban temperament formed in the integration of tradition and modernity in Nanjing.The second part is the research on the uniqueness of the writer’s creation.This paper uses comparative methods to explore the differences between Ye Zhaoyan and modern writers Zhang Henshui and Zhang Ailing’s imagination in Nanjing,the different emphasis on the narration of official history and the dialogical relationship with their own prose creation.The third part is the analysis of the reasons for Ye ’s imagination of Nanjing.From the background of his origin and the influence of Jiangnan culture,the influence of foreign literature and literary trend of thought,and his own special growth experience,this paper explores the intrinsic relationship between the writer and his creation.Based on the research of Ye’s Nanjing imagination and his unique way to express it,this paper analyses Ye’s spirit outlook and sense of worth,thus explore the association between city and people,and the association between city and literature.Finally,this paper trys to make a reflection of the living state and mental state of city people.
