The report is based on the translation project of Will Robots Take Your Job?The book was written by technology writer and think-tank director Nigel Cameron. He argues human-beings will face a job disruption in an age of artificial intelligence and puts forward some suggestions of how to prepare for the risks of unknown future in this book. The translation of this book will be of great significance for Chinese researchers who are interested in the impact of robots on employment. The book hasn't been translated into Chinese until now.In order to introduce this book to Chinese readers, the author translated the book into Chinese together with another translator. On the basis of the translation of the book, the report analyzes the background and significance of the project, the translation process and the translation strategies involved. The analysis of translation strategies is the most important part of the report. The author has carried out the analysis of the translation strategies from the perspectives of lexis and sentence. In the perspective of lexis, literal translation is mainly adopted to translate the title of the book, and explanatory translation and annotation are used to deal with the translation of cultural vocabulary. The author also focuses on the accuracy of the word and the lexical flexibility. In the perspective of sentence, the strategies of cutting and adjustment are used to deal with the translation of the complex sentences.By translating the book, the author has a deeper understanding of the whole translation project, and the translation skills have been largely improved. The author hopes the report can provide some useful reference for the translation of popular science book.
