At the end of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 20 th century,a series of changes took place in painting, which were accompanied by the modern life style and the visual system. With the continuous exploration of generations of artists, figurative painting gradually developed several strategies and methods to show the painting space at the end of the 20 th century. These new methods, based on the painting laid by the old masters, integrated many contemporary visual symbols, drawing methods and video media, with strong age characteristics.Such characteristics of times are not only reflected in the way of painting, but also in the choice of subjects and the mixture of many visual media. This paper has been analyzed the latest two artists-Norway's Lars and American artist Kerry James Marshall. It is concluded that in the chaotic contemporary art,the paintings of these two artists are still able to stand out from the visual and painting elements. This article is of guiding significance to the painters engaged in artistic creation.
