In the field of teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,listening,speaking,reading and writing are the four basic skills of language learning.For language learners,writing is one of the skills,which is not only the deepening of Chinese learning,but also would affects the development of the other three skills.From the perspective of teaching,the ultimate goal of writing teaching is to enable learners to use the target language to express their discourse and improve their discourse ability,that is,to construct a good discourse.From September of 2017 to June of 2018,the author worked as a Chinese writing teacher of two classes of advanced overseas students in International College of Zhejiang University.In the process of teaching,the author found that for the advanced students,there are still many problems in their writing,especially in discourse level.As the carrier and support of teaching,writing textbooks have important guiding functions for the design of teaching content and teaching methods,reflecting the concept of textbook design and compilation.So this paper will take the Experiencing Chinese Writing Tutorial(Advanced 1)as the research object,and combine the author's advanced writing teaching practice to explore the application of discourse theory in writing textbook,and will analyze the textbook from three aspects,model essay of discourse,discourse knowledge and exercise.And the author found that the content design of the textbook at macro level of avanced students are much more than the micro level.At the same time,the author have analyzed the discourse errors of the writing materials of advanced overseas students,and the author found that the discourse errors at macro level of avanced students are much less than their discourse errors at micro level.Based on these discoveries,the author would contribute some proposal for textbook compilation.
