| Chinese characters are closely related to Chinese languages and Chinese culture.In the process of Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,Chinese characters should be attached great importance to,especially in the advanced stage of Chinese characters acquisition.As the foreign students’vocabularies come to a given level,it is urgent for them to integrate the form and meaning of the Chinese characters,as well as to input the knowledge of Chinese characters with the related traditional culture, in which case,foreign students will learn how to think in Chinese way,and even form a comprehensive system.Nevertheless,the word-oriented teaching theory is our preference in Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.By contrast,Chinese characters teaching is less valued.With regard to the advanced Chinese characters teaching,we do not make a statement about the teaching theory intentionaly.When comes to the practice,there is a blank, which means nearly no achievements can been seen in advanced Chinese characters teaching.In view of the importance of the advanced Chinese characters teaching and the teaching content as well as the teaching tasks badly disconnected with the present teaching, a kind of systenatic teaching plan for the Chinese characters acquisition of advanced foreign students will be made in this thesis.Meanwhile, I strive to put it into practice.The main teaching method is effective radical pedagogy.Common radicals pedagogy is based on the201principal components in radical table of Chinese characters and100attached radical forms,from which I choose142radicals that often appear in the modern Chinese characters and are used in the examinations for foreign students. Common radicals pedagogy learns from the component,radicals,radical pedagogy,science literacy law and etymology.These142radicals are demostrated to students clearly and properly in the way of Common radicals pedagogy’s classification, Common radicals pedagogy’s first word of the source and the Common radicals pedagogy’s culture presentation.Finally,the goal of advanced Chinese characters can be achieved.Lastly, Chinese characters’common radical pedagogy teaching made a careful analysis in this thesis has its own problem and given measures we have taken in teaching.I sincerely hope that some references and suggestions can be given to advanced Chinese characters of Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and related culture teaching. |
