In the Chinese youth publications,the "Secondary Student",which was founded in 1930,occupies a pivotal position.The journal has an irreplaceable position both in terms of content influence and publication brand construction.In the only four national awards in China,in 1995,"Secondary Student" won the "National First Excellent Social Science Journal Award".In 1998 and 2000,won the first and second "National 100 Key Social Science Journals" and the "First National Journal Award".In China,this is the only one among the youth publications.The "Secondary Student" monthly magazine published by the United Chinese School Committees Association of Malaysia in 1986.It is a student reading material that cares about the growth of young people.It has also been recommended by the Chinese Language and Culture Committee of the Federal Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education.The extracurricular reading materials for the Chinese Language Department have a certain status in the Malaysian Youth Chinese publication.This article examines two representative publications,the "Secondary Student",a youth publication in China and Malaysia.The author attempts to compare the publication of these two publications to the design of content from a comparative analysis to reveal thecharacteristics of Chinese and Malaysian youth publications.Specifically,this article is mainly divided into the following aspects:(1)Through the publication status of the youth publications in China and Malaysia,the publication and history of the "Secondary Students" and the concept of running a magazine.(2)Analyses the characteristics of the publications of Chinese and Malaysian "Secondary Student".Compare the types,language forms,and layout features of the "Secondary Student".(3)Explores the differential influence factors of the two "Secondary Student" through the perspectives of the publishing organization,education,culture and market expectations of the Chinese and Malaysian "Secondary Student".Through the comparative analysis of this article,the "Secondary Student" of China and Malaysia has played an important role in educating people.Besides giving positive guidance function,it also contains their own local characteristics in content.It can provide reference for the future development of juvenile magazines and mutual reference,and make the development of Chinese education in China and Malaysia interact benignly.
