As a special language phenomenon,rhetoric is one of the key point in the teaching plan for developing students' Chinese reading and writing skills in the advanced stage of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The ability to master and use rhetoric is an important criterion to test students' Chinese proficiency.In the context of Chinese teaching system relatively maturing and the research results changing with each passing day,researchers have put forward the importance of rhetoric in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this context,this paper will combine some of the author's overseas Chinese teaching experience to explore the rhetoric arrangement in the textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This article will analyze the research status of rhetoric in teaching Chinese as a foreign language from three aspects.The requirements of the rhetoric in the current Chinese Proficiency Grading Outline will be elaborated.In this article,detailed statistics and explanations will be given to the rhetorical methods,programming sequences and practice methods of the two sets of Chinese textbooks.And this article will make a detailed comparative analysis of the rhetorical types,appearance order and practice methods of the two sets of textbooks,and summarize the rhetorical content of these two sets of commonly used textbooks for Chinese as a foreign language.Finally,some author's ideas on the arrangement of rhetorical content in the textbooks for Chinese as a foreign language are proposed.
