| With the steady development of China's economy,an increasing number of foreign enterprises have been seeking cooperation or investment in China,and more and more international conferences have been held in China.Accordingly,there is an increasing demand for business interpreting.As the first foreign micro loan company registered in China,Microcred has a large demand for interpreting in daily Exco meetings.The interpreter plays the role of conference interpreter in this project.In practice,the interpreter mainly encountered five difficulties,that is redundancy,inappropriate tone,dialect and so on,which brought challenges to the interpreter to complete the project.Therefore,the difficulties encountered in this project will be analyzed and summarized,and corresponding strategies under the guidance of Interpretative Theory were put forward.Interpretive Theory is based on the practice of interpretation and the research on interpretation of the international conference.The theory proposes that the essence of interpretation is the transfer of core meaning.The triangle model of Interpretive Theory includes comprehension,de-verbalization and reformulation,while the process of interpreting can be divided into comprehension,information processing and language output.It can be seen that the triangle model of Interpretive Theory is in accordance with the process of conference interpretation.Therefore,proper application of Interpretive Theory in conference interpreting has practical significance.This report covers the description of interpreting task,preparation,difficulties analysis and coping strategies.Five difficulties from different aspects were analyzed in Chapter three and coping strategies such as transliteration and explanation,logical integration,cognitive complement,key-point extraction are proposed.It is hoped that the conclusion of this thesis may provide some help for interpreting learners and make contributions to the research of conference interpreting. |
