The corpus of this simultaneous interpreting practice comes from the lecture entitled “Classic Reading and Humanistic Spirit” delivered by Professor Wang Yuguang in the 4th National “University Reading Promotion Summit 2019”.In this simultaneous interpreting practice,the spokesperson’s speech style is partial to spoken language.The corpus theme is mainly narrative and argumentation.The content covers more historical stories and personal events,as well as a large number of cultural features.The translators need to have a solid historical and cultural knowledge reserve.At the same time,the corpus involves some chronological figures,and the interpretation of numbers has made the simultaneous interpreting practice more difficult.In addition,due to the narrative of historical events in the corpus and the discussion with personal opinions,interpreters need to convert the tense accurately.This simultaneous interpreting practice is based on the Interpretative Theory as the guiding theory,starting from the three stages of the Interpretative Theory:Comprehension: multi-dimensional source language information reception,deverbalization and reformulation stage.The lexical,syntactic structure and textual logic are analyzed to achieve a comprehensive grasp of the source and target language of simultaneous interpreting practice.Among them,through the study of source corpus,keywords can be divided into two parts: cultural characteristic words and proper nouns for analysis.Syntactic structure includes sentence structure and grammar.Discourse level mainly refers to meaning group and logic.In addition,due to the requirements of accuracy,completeness,and immediacy of simultaneous interpreting,the remodeling of the target language in the reformulation stage also requires non-verbal component expression and the ability to balance EVS.Through the study of the source language corpus,analyzing the simultaneous interpreting practice from the above aspects can achieve a more comprehensive understanding of the Triangular Model of Interpretative Theory.This theoretical framework can comprehensively analyze the practice process of simultaneous interpreting and thus gain valuable experience to achieve the improvement of simultaneous interpreting capabilities.Through the analysis of this simultaneous interpreting practice report,we can find that simultaneous interpreting is a complex and challenging task.The process of simultaneous interpreting practice requires the guidance of other important theories such as the Interpretative Theory.The interpreters have excellent bilingual skills.At the same time,we need to adopt flexible interpreting strategies and skills to achieve bilingual interpreting across cultures.Through this simultaneous interpreting practice,I have deeply analyzed my own problems and found countermeasures.I can better understand the guiding role of the Interpretative Theory in the simultaneous interpreting practice,find my weaknesses and deficiencies in the simultaneous interpreting process,and achieve the improvement of simultaneous interpreting skills,which has laid the foundation for the future simultaneous interpreting practice.I hope that this simultaneous interpreting practice report can help the research of simultaneous interpreting,and hope that interpreters will be inspired in the future and continue to improve in the study of simultaneous interpreting.
