Classroom interpretation is one of the important forms of interpretation,featuring extemporaneousness,interactivity and uncertainty.As an important branch of technical interpretation,classroom interpretation in the electric power industry is highly professional,and includes knowledge of many other fields.Therefore,this project has high requirements for interpreters.When participating in the CPHGC(China Power Hub Generation Company)O&M(Operation&Maintenance)Project,the reporter served as an interpreter in electric power industry training.This project report elaborates on the difficulties and challenges encountered by the reporter in interpretation.At the same time,referring to the research results of domestic and foreign experts and scholars,he tries to propose tackling methods and solutions.During the project,the reporter encountered the following three challenges:Pakistani accent and dialects;terminology and knowledge of electric power industry;unforeseen on-the-spot situations.Based on the reporter's inter:pretation recordings during the project,and referring to the research of experts and scholars at home and abroad on consecutive interpretation and interpretation of the electric power industry,the reporter has studied the above problems and put forward tackling strategies.The solutions are as follows:enhance familiarity with Pakistani English and communicate with Pakistani trainees beforehand;make terminology list and understand related knowledge;choose flexible interpreting strategies and seek help from others.
