The Study Of The Police And Gangster Co-production By The Mainland And Hong Kong In The Background Of CEPA

In 2003,the mainland and Hong Kong signed the "Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement"(CEPA).Since then,the mainland and Hong Kong have interacted more effectively in economy,politics and culture.The CEPA policy gives equal market treatment to co-production films by the mainland and Hong Kong in comparison with domestic films,which has exerted a huge impact on the development of the film industry,promoted the process of film co-production,and potentially promoted the transformation of the narrative strategy of the theme of the police and gangster in the two regions.By combing the development history of police and gangster films in Hong Kong and the film texts and relevant materials of police and gangster films in the mainland and Hong Kong before and after the CEPA policy,this thesis makes a detailed summary of the genre strategy transformation of police and gangster films by the mainland and Hong Kong.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter,with time as the scale,sorts out and summarizes the background and development of the theme of police and gangster in the mainland and Hong Kong.From the perspective of genre strategy,the second chapter focuses on the adjustment and transformation of the narrative time and space,the narrative theme and the narrative plot of the police and bandits themed co-production film by the mainland and Hong Kong.The third chapter mainly probes into the transformation of heroes,undercover identities and other characters in police and gangster co-production films,and elaborates on the characteristics of characters after the transformation.The fourth chapter focuses on the influence of CEPA on the creation of police and bandit types in Hong Kong and mainland China,and probes into the future trend of police and gangster themed co-production films by the mainland and Hong Kong based on the current market response.The police and gangster themed co-production films after CEPA are taken as the research point.On the basis of investigating a large number of relevant research literature,this thesis makes comprehensive use of relevant theories of film and refers to the multidisciplinary theories such as economy,culture and etc.to better interpret the cultural value and artistic connotation of the police and gangster themed co-production films by the mainland and Hong Kong and to provide some reference value for the theoretical research in the related areas as well.
