An Analysis On The Problems In Escort Interpretation And Solutions

In recent years,with the fast growing of the international exchanges,tourism develops quickly.An increasing number of inbound tourists have a growing request for interpreters and hope interpreters can provide tourists with a better service.This paper is a travel-themed interpretation practice report.As an escort interpreter,the author participain ted the Ningxia(Shapaotou)International Desert Tourism Activity.Based on this practice,she analyzes the main problems in escort interpreting,such as loss of information and misinterpreting.According to the main problems,the author analyzes the causes that affect the quality of escort interpretation and gives some solutions to deal with these problems.For example,the author applies skopos rule,fidelity rule and coherence rule to solve those problems.The author thinks that language competence,knowledge reserve and good psychological quality are very important to finish escort interpretation task.
