English teaching is a humanistic teaching.It can help students to appreciate the language charm of other countries and improve their aesthetic and creative abilities.Core literacy pays more attention to students'knowledge,skills,emotions,attitudes,values and other comprehensive performance,and then generates the indispensable common literacy that can really enable students to achieve a successful life,adapt to personal and social development.This paper mainly studies how to integrate core literacy into the teaching of English picture book reading,and explores the effective ways to cultivate students'language acquisition,cultural accomplishment,ideological quality,emotional attitudes and attitudes in English picture book reading.This paper is composed of five parts:The introduction mainly introduces the reasons,significance and research methods of this paper,and combs the research status at home and abroad,paving the way for the following.The first part mainly elaborates the concept,feasibility and significance of English picture book reading,and then puts forward the theoretical basis of the necessity,importance and feasibility of this study.The second part is mainly about the implementation process of the theme study.This study takes XX Primary School in Suzhou as an example to do case study.Through classroom observation,questionnaire survey,teacher-student interviews,teaching plan analysis and other methods,it makes a multi-dimensional investigation and Research on English picture book teaching,and summarizes the results.The third part mainly relies on the analysis of the data obtained from the second part of the survey,discusses the problems existing in the cultivation of students'core literacy in English picture book reading,and analyses the reasons behind the problems.The fourth part is the focus of this paper.In view of the problems found in the teaching of English picture book reading,corresponding suggestions and strategies for the implementation of English picture book reading in primary schools are put forward.The fifth part is the conclusion and lack of research.The innovation of this paper lies in the systematic and comprehensive completion of an empirical research survey spanning about one year,and the effective research data results are obtained.In addition,the study of English picture book teaching based on core literacy aims to help students discover,analyze and solve problems under the created circumstances,and acquire knowledge and skills through self-exploring learning methods,so as to form a correct outlook on life and values.The significance of this study is also to help teachers innovate teaching ideas,improve teaching methods and enhance teachers'teaching ability.
