The purpose of this study is to investigate the impression evaluation of outside groups on the group of left-behind children, the degree of influence on the stereotype of this group and its relationship with the mental health of this group through empirical research.Experimental methods:through the pre-study,the characteristic words of the impression of the left-behind children were collected, and the words with the highest frequency were selected as the impression evaluation of the left-behind children.First, through the pre-study,the vocabulary collected through the pre-study compiled a questionnaire and sent out the questionnaire. The explicit evaluation of left-behind children was investigated. In experiment 2,the implicit evaluation of left-behind children was investigated by SEB method, and the mental health status of left-behind children was evaluated by psychological evaluation in experiment 3.The results showed that the adults of the outer group had a negative stereotype of the left-behind children, while the measurement of explicit and implicit stereotype of the left-behind children showed that they had a more positive evaluation of themselves. There is no self-stereotyping or the degree of self-stereotyping is not obvious. The results of the evaluation of the mental health status of the left-behind children showed that the left-behind children had a high degree of nervous weakness and worried mental state. This paper analyzed the reasons and put forward some suggestions on how to take some intervention measures to the psychological status of the left-behind children. This study concludes that:(1)outside groups have a more negative stereotype of left-behind children in rural areas, mainly as follows:loneliness, lack of care, timidity, introversion, helplessness, inferiority, shyness, mischief, fragility, sensitivity, etc.,there are also positive comments, such as sensible,Independence, etc.,But the percentage is relatively low.(2)the rural left-behind children have a lower score on negative traits,a middle score on neutral traits, and a higher score on positive traits, which is inconsistent with the stereotype of the outside world.the left-behind children in rural areas have a lower score of negative traits, the score of neutral traits is in the middle, and the score of positive traits is higher.(3)in the implicit evaluation of the internal group of rural left-behind children, there is no stereotype of this group in terms of enthusiasm. It shows that the left-behind children's own ability evaluation of this group is different from the public stereotype of their ability.(4)the results show that the evaluation of left-behind children's enthusiasm and ability is not consistent with the stereotype of the public. Therefore,it is not stereotyped or the degree is not strong.(5)through the evaluation of the mental health of the children in the left-behind pilot village of Dawu County,it is shown that the mental health status of the left-behind children in the pilot village of Dawu County is poor, mainly manifested by the high proportion of neurasthenia, neuroticism and paranoia.
