Jean-Paul Sartre(1905-1980)was a famous French philosopher, writer, political critic and social activist of the twentieth century and one of the most influential philosophers in the West. There are many important keywords in Sartre's philosophy, such as freedom, choice, existence, etc. The academic research focus on Sartre's philosophy has always been concentrated in these aspects, but the same important"action"in his philosophy didn't get attention.Sartre's philosophy is based on phenomenology. In"Existence and Nothingness,"he unifies existence and consciousness through phenomena, and pays particular attention to the relationship of existence and consciousness in the first three volumes of"Existence and Nothingness".The description of the relationship of consciousness is paving the way for the description of the fourth volume of human actions, and his emphasis on action issues is ultimately to lay the foundation for moral ethics. For Sartre,self-determination is the existence defined by action, action is the plan of existence, action is the sum of life.So it can be said that Sartre is also a philosopher who advocates action. Therefore, the first chapter of this paper will discuss the ontological basis of Sartre's philosophy of action.Sartre's philosophical ontology is phenomenological, and the phe nomenon is the basis of the unity of existence and consciousness."Existence"is something that consciousness depends on,it is self-existing,"consciousness"is non-existence,it is nothingness. The subject of"action"is human beings. As a unity of self-existence and self-existence,people are constantly planning through the vain free activities of consciousness to obtain their meaning and become an ideal existence. This process is the process of action planning. The second chapter analyzes the legality of Sartre's philosophy of action, that is,does Sartre respond to it in response to a series of meta-questions of action philosophy? The answer is definutely yes.Next,we will systematically sortout Sartre's theory of action philosophy from the field of action philosophy that concerns philosophy of mind and analytic philosophy. When we examine”action"from the level of actionp hilosophy,we will inevitably encounter the following questions:First, the standard question of action, that is,how should the action itself be understood and what is action? What are the criteria or characteristics of it?What kind of type, scope and composition? The second is the explanation of the action, that is,how to explain or explain the occurrence of the action? What does Sartre think that people's actions are caused or decided? Is it limited or effective in the causal chain? The third is about the role of action or the question of evaluation. What kind of action does Sartre think is right or wrong, good or evil?In reality, what kind of action should be responsible for it?This is also the problem to estudied in the third, fourth and fifth chapters of this paper. It can be said that"action"is the realistic foothold of Sartre's series of philosophical thoughts. The article concludes that Sartre has left us with a positive philosophy of action, which has a very important modem meaning.
