The Transmutation Of Human Nature Writing In Li Longyun's Dramas

Li Longyun is a famous contemporary dramatist in China.He was selected as "Ten Excellent Contemporary Chinese Dramatists" by the Chinese Drama Art Research Association and the Ministry of Culture of the State Council.Since the new period,Li Longyun's plays have received wide attention and heated discussion both in and out of the field,and have become the focus of attention and research in the Chinese professional theatre.For Li Longyun's plays,researchers mostly cut into the scripts and writing process,and systematically excavated Li Longyun's plays from the perspective of drama history,especially from the perspective of "creating a person",which left a large space for exploration.The purpose of this paper arises from this.This paper studies the content and characteristics of human nature writing and its evolution in Li Longyun's plays.The author believes that the writing of"human nature" in Li Longyun's plays presents different contents and characteristics in different periods,and has a remarkable evolution process,which can be divided into three stages.In his plays,Li Longyun takes the characterization as the core,uses the way of "people lead the play" to show the real and complex human nature phenomena in different environments,explores and reveals the underlying problems and causes,and tries to find solutions to these problems.Not only that,Li Longyun himself has always adhered to the"humanistic" orientation of drama,and his genuine writing and concern for"human nature" runs through the whole process of creation,which provides inspiration and reference for how to adhere to the humanistic spirit in the development of Chinese drama at present.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an overview of Li Longyun's life experience,drama creation and the relationship between them.It is concluded that his path of drama creation is closely related to his personal experience.The second chapter is an overview of the three distinct characteristics of Li Longyun's plays.It is concluded that "the spirit of human concern" is the most central feature and the most important ideological connotation and spiritual core of the plays.Chapter three analyses Li Longyun's plays from the late 1970s to the early 1980s,and concludes that he focuses on the ideal human nature and human freedom at this stage.Chapter four analyses Li Longyun's important plays in the mid and late 1980s.It is concluded that at this stage,he put the focus of human nature writing on the exploration of individual "complex human nature",and realized the deepening of understanding of human nature issues,causes and essence.Chapter five analyses Li Longyun's many plays since 1990s,and draws a conclusion that at this stage he pays attention to the specific human nature problems of Chinese people in special historical period and today's society,which indicates his further transformation and expansion of the content and direction of human nature writing.
