A Study Of The Exclamatory Sentences In The Water Margin

The exclamatory sentences in Water Margin play a connecting role in the development history of modern Chinese exclamatory sentences.This paper takes the exclamatory sentences in Water Margin as the research object,makes a systematic and exhaustive inquiry into them from the perspective of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.It mainly uses the method of combining description and interpretation,and makes a diachronic study of some linguistic phenomena,which has certain reference value for the study of the evolution law of exclamatory sentences in modern Chinese.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part includes the object of study,research methods and significance of topic selection.The second part classifies and analyses the exclamatory sentences marked by adverbs in Water Margin.It can be divided into two categories:exclamation sentences marked by degree adverbs and exclamation sentences marked by mood adverbs.Among them,exclamation sentencesmarked by degree adverbs are "Hao","Te","Zui" and other exclamation sentences marked by less but typical degree adverbs;exclamation sentences marked by mood adverbs include "Guo","Zhen" and other types of mood adverbs.This kind of exclamation sentence strengthens the mood of the speaker through the modification of adverbs,thus deepening the intensity of exclamation and enhancing its emotional expression.The third part sums up and analyses the exclamation sentences marked by modal words and interjections in Water Margin.The markers of modal words are "Zai","Ye","Ya" and "Ba".The interjection markers are "Yi","He","Ai","Cui","Duo" and so on.Modal words and interjections are typical markers of exclamation sentences.This kind of exclamatory sentences form exclamatory sentences with strong emotional characteristics through the special use of modal particles and interjections.The fourth part classifies and analyses the exclamatory sentences with special formats in Water Margin one by one.They include single-word exclamation sentences,Pronoun + X exclamation sentences,and other special forms of exclamation sentences marked.This kind of exclamation sentence has no specific mark,but it is relatively strong in expressing the intensity and emotion of exclamation.The fifth part analyses the characteristics of exclamation sentences in Water Margin,starting with the pragmatic analysis of exclamationsentences and the intensity characteristics of exclamation sentences,and further summarizes the pragmatic characteristics of exclamation sentences in Water Margin.The sixth part summarizes the main points of this paper.
