With the frequent exchanges among countries in the power industry, the demand for electric scientific English translation is increasing. Therefore, the need for electric scientific translators is also strict. However, how to improve the quality of translation has become an urgent problem.Given the special characteristic of electric scientific texts and its rigorous style, this kind of translation has always emphasized faithfulness to the original text, but this does not mean that translators need to be invisible.Eco-translatology theory holds that translation is a process in which the translator makes adaptation and selection and stresses the balance of translation ecological environment. On one hand, the translator adapts to the translation environment. On the other hand,he selects the proper method, thus presenting the translator's subjectivity.Eco-translatology theory liberates translators from the traditional view and emphasizes translators' subjective position in the process of translation. Therefore, this study selects electric scientific text as the corpus and uses eco-translatology theory to analyze electric scientific translators' subjectivity. On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of electric scientific texts, the author first points out the relationship between the translator and other subjects, such as the author of source text, the translation ecological environment, and the target reader. Then,it specifically discusses how the translator makes adaptation and selection based on the linguistic, cultural, and communicative dimensions. In the linguistic dimension, due to the formal style and the extensive use of academic terms, the translator needs to select words with the same validity to embody the characteristics of the electric scientific text so as to make the translation survive. In the cultural dimension, the translator should put the adaptation of bilingual communication in the first place so as to achieve a harmonious balance between the two languages. In the communicative dimension, the translator should reasonably convey the communicative intention between the source language and the target language.
